New Year - New Beginning Spell

Supplies:

1 white candle
1 black candle
Incense burner or Small Cauldron
Charcoal
1 clear quart crystal
Feather

You will need 5 herbs for this spell:

Turmeric - Purification, cleaning
Passion Flower - Peace, comfort, Friendship
Cinnamon - Spirituality, Success, Healing, Power, Psychic Powers, Protection, Love
Dragon's Blood - Love, Protection, Exorcism, Potency

Now decide the last one yourself, but only choose one.

Patchouli - Fertility, if you want to become pregnant next year.
Skullcap - Fidelity, if you want to end a relationship.
Alfalfa - Prosperity, Money, if you want to bring money.
Henbane - Love, Divination, if you want to bring love.
Nettle - Exorcism, Protection, if you want to end something.
Fennel - Healing, Purification, if you want healing.

Place charcoal in cauldron or incense burner and light.

Take the five herbs you have chosen and mix them in your mortar and pestle, stirring 13 times.

In the center of your home or altar area, place the candles. White to East and Black to West.

Drop a pinch of the herbs onto the burning charcoal and say:

"Balance, balance come my way

As I start this new years day.

Bring to me what I desire

Within this new years smoke and fire."

Drop more of the herbs onto the burning charcoal, Light Black Candle and say;

"Away, Away, that what has been,

New beginning now do send."

Place a pinch of the herbs onto the burning charcoal as you walk around your home and into each room. Each time you enter a room put more of the herbs on the charcoal. Use the feather to send the smoke throughout each room.

As you cross each threshold to each room say:

"Protection called for all within,

Protection I call here be sent.

No worries can enter this domain,

Protection cast here shall remain."

When finished return to where the center of your home of altar area.

Place a pinch of the herbs onto the burning charcoal, Light the White candle and say:

"Blessed be this home and those within,

Blessed be all this year shall send.

Protection called and Balance gleaned,

In all things so mote it be."

Allow the candles to burn to there end, take whatever herbs and wax are left and bury at the north corner of your home. For a blessed new year.
