We Do Not Need These

we have no need of walls of stone
to hold our hearts towards the gods
no written hymns, nor chanted prayers
when all around we have the world
we find our gods in woodlands deep
or by the ocean, up a hill
our gods walk with us every moment
living in our hearts and minds
we do not cage them fast in walls
nor worship them on one set day
for they are ever with us
woven into our lives
